Privacy and Confidentiality
Confidentiality is an important component of our working relationship. Your information will be kept confidential and not shared with any outside source without your consent, except when required by law. Circumstances in which I cannot maintain your confidentiality include:
When I have reason to believe that you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or someone else.
When I have reason to believe that a child is in need of protection.
A detailed discussion of confidentiality and its limitations and how your personal health information is handled is provided during our initial session. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact me.
Please keep in mind that email is not completely secure. I encourage you not to include sensitive information in an email.
