Privacy and Confidentiality
Confidentiality is an important component of our working relationship. Your information will be kept confidential and not shared with any outside source without your consent, except when I am required by law to do so. Circumstances in which I cannot maintain your confidentiality include:
When I have reason to believe that you are at imminent risk of harming yourself or someone else.
When I have reason to believe that a child is in need of protection because of abuse or neglect.
A detailed discussion of confidentiality and its limitations is provided during our initial session. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact me.
Please keep in mind that email is not completely secure. I encourage you not to include sensitive information in an email.
Also, I do not accept friend or contact requests on any social media sites from current or former clients at I believe that it compromises your privacy.
Personal health information is collected for the sole purpose of preparing a client file. Your information is not sold or given to any other source. Your personal information is stored securely.
