M. Jane Wilders


I have a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology and have been providing individual and couple counselling in Peterborough since 2008. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario

(# 001237) and a Certified Member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists. Accountability and professional responsibility are important to me; my practice is governed by professional practice standards and a code of ethics.

I am a life long learner and regularly attend work-shops and conferences each year to further my knowledge so that I can better support my clients. I have training in a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness practices, Relational Life Therapy. and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 2). I am a Compassion Fatigue Educator and certified in small group Critical Incident Stress Debriefing / Critical Incident Response.


My practice is informed by holistic and indigenous traditions that have deepened my awareness of the body-mind connection. I am married and am a step-mom in an active family. I am committed to personal wellness and am an advocate

of mindfulness practices to manage stress and anxiety.
